We have had four meetings with eight attending each meeting. All of our meetings have been great with lively discussions. This week was even better as everyone has begun to open up. All of our guest have children so this week was especially lively. We know in our heart that no one left tonight without knowing they need God’s guidance and lots pray to be effective parents. We brought all the children in, prayed for them, expressed Jesus and our love, affirmed Gods love, and prayed for the parents, and family as a unit. The Holy Spirit was so strong even the 4, 5 years olds were attentive throughout this time. Praise God for this refreshing out reach! Thank God for our Pastor Mike’s vision for this precious time. We will not know all results of these meetings until we see Jesus.

We started tonight with stinking thinking that no one would be in attendance @ ITH in our home. However, God had the neighbors show up on our door step. Through the questions and discussions we see God is at work not only in this marriage. He is at work in their family as well. PTL!

Our fourth week was a continued blessing for everyone. Three households were represented in addition to ours. None of them are First Baptist members. One Church of Christ, one Methodist, one Catholic… Comments were made by some that exposed their lack of real Gospel training… All of us are hungry to improved our vertical relationship with the Lord!
This has been a wonderful experience for all involved. It has made my wife and I braver and bolder, eager to share our Faith with others. I will invite all to First Baptist again next week, AND provide my testimony to make sure they know that real purpose behind the In The House series is to introduce Jesus Christ to anyone that is not Born-Again!

Our group is made up of couples with marriages ranging from 4 to 33 years. It is comforting to know that we all face similar challenges in our marriages, and encouraging to hear how God has brought couples through these challenges. Our prayer is that we grow closer not only to our spouses through this series, but most importantly to our Lord, Jesus Christ, because through Him we learn to love unconditionally.

Our 3rd meeting was awesome. Everyone shared in the group questions and I think all 3 marriages are growing stronger from “In The House”. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for next week.

Well the 3rd time is the charm. We had a couple come to our house which we have never met before. We had a great time getting to know them. The video and talk time was great also. We had both hoped we would have had a full house for our group but I imagine the disciples would have liked more fish and bread, but with the power of God stepping in, 5000 people walked away full.

WE had a great time Sunday night. The questions that were raised afterwards showed the attention level. Husbands and wives all participated. Sometimes serious, other times comical, but in the end, It opened the lines of communication and we left, looking forward to next week and excited about what God is doing.

Session 2 was focused on Husbands and the need to follow the 6 steps to a sizzling marriage. The discussion and sharing time was enlightening. The dessert was delicious. I will make an effort to follow those 6 steps to improve my marriage. I really enjoy the small group atmosphere.

We had some great discussion and it was really cool to see the similarities in marriages at all different stages with and without children. It’s really nice to meet new people in the church we might otherwise have never gotten to fellowship with. I look forward to next week. We missed the 3rd session in May!!
In The House is a small group series hosted by First Baptist Indian Trail. This series is designed to help strength families. People from all across our community are meeting in homes for this study. We are in our fifth week of the series.
