Volunteer Cookout at the Presley’s House
May 29, 2008
Friday is finally here and I hope you have had a great week. Don’t forget about our LIFTstravaganza Cookout at The Presley’s this Saturday evening beginning at 6:00 pm. You should have received an evite from Shelby Lay that includes all of the details. If you did not receive the evite, please let Mike Bell or myself know. If you received the evite and have not responded, please do so. By responding you will be able to let us know how many will attend with you and what food item you will bring. Please don’t miss this opportunity for us all to get together. Clay, Mike and myself will be sharing with you exciting plans for the summer in The Lift. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Also, due to our fellowship at the Presley’s, it becomes more important for us to get setup done as fast as possible. If you have any time at all on Saturday beginning at 1:00pm, please consider helping us setup for The Lift. Once setup is completed, we can begin rehearsal.
Thanks for being a volunteer in The Lift! What you do during the weekend, makes it possible for people to come to church and hear the life changing message of Christ.
See you Saturday… Lance Bradley

Wow what a great service we had yesterday! If you were out of town or at the racetrack, make sure to watch the service online once it becomes available later this week. You will be able to view the service in its entirety. Our pastor continued his series on parenting. For those of you who are parents, you don’t want to miss this message.
Our band rocked this week! Our Worship Pastor, Mike Blackwood pulled in a couple of new players, Brandon Berg on electric guitar and Stephen Chapman on drums.
Every week we ask those in attendance to please fill out a Welcome Card. I am always amazed to see what people write down. At the bottom of our card there is a question that asks, “Who invited you to The Lift?” I like to see the names of people who are inviting others to church. That is cool! This past week I noticed many of the answers were “parents” or “my children.” There was one that I especially liked that said, “I took a chance.” You know many of our friends and family members are just ONE INVITATION AWAY from coming to church and meeting Christ! Their just ONE INVITATION AWAY from giving God a chance! God is doing many great things with The Lift. Let’s do our part and bring at least one person with us to church this weekend and watch what He can do!
